Swiss National Day in Nyon - Fanfare, Fun and restricted use of Fireworks

Tomorrow, the 1st August is Fête Nationale/ Swiss National Day. There will be celebrations in villages and towns in cantons across the country.
Some celebrations take place on the 31st July. In Trélex tonight there will an apéro at 18:30, a bouncy castle for children, decorating of lanterns, filet de perches, saucisses and frites to eat at 19:30 and a bar at the Salle Polyvalente in the village. At 21:00 an official ceremony will take place followed by a parade of lanterns and a firework display. Full details here
In Prangins the will be a Fête National on the 1st August with an apéro between 18:00-18:45. An official ceremony at 18:45-19:30 followed by a parade with lanterns at 21:15 and fireworks at 22:15. Full details here

In Nyon as in every year, the celebrations start on the 1st August at the Esplanade des Marroniers at 19:45 with an apéro accompanied by the Fanfare municipale. At 20:20 there will be the ringing of bells. At 20:25 there will be an official ceremony and at 21:00 there will be a parade that winds down towards the lake. Children can carry lanterns during this parade. There will be fireworks by the lake at 22:15.
