Rock festival "Les Hivernales" begins today. Tuesday's Fun Fondue - another event planned.

The appropriately named "Les Hivernales" begins today 9th February  and continues until Sunday 12th. This winter rock and music festival takes place in various venues across Nyon with live music bands coming from all over Switzerland and further afield.  Tonight  Nadeah from Australia will be playing at the Parenthese at 20:30.

Portobello from Lucerne will playing at the Cactus Jack at 21:30, and at the Quai 23 ,Colveen from Morges will be playing at 22:00. Check out Les Hivernales website (there is an English version) for the full programme of music and venues over the next few days.

Fun Fondue night. Thankyou to all of you who braved the bitterly cold Bise wind on Tuesday night to attend the Fondue Night organised by Living in Nyon, Nyon Region Tourism and Ecole Club Migros. A  fun time was had by all and it was great to see so many new faces. The event was also featured in today's newspaper 24 Heures! For those that were on the waiting list for this event you will be pleased to know that another joint collaboration event is planned for April. The date is yet to be confirmed so watch this space!  A follow up email will be sent in then next few days to those who attended the event and to those on the waiting list.
