Nashville Night in Nyon. Weekend events plus "Rush", film on 1976 Formula One season,Monday Movie in English

Here are selection of weekend events in the Nyon area, plus, the Monday night movie (in English) on the 30th September at the Capitole in Nyon is "Rush".  The film focusses on the 1976 Formula One season and the rivalry between drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda.  Details below. Tonight Friday the 27th September, it's Nashville Night in Nyon at La Parenthèse, the underground music venue in the old town with two performers from the U.S  Erin Rae McKaskle and Analisa Nutt.  See an extract of an interview with the performers on Nyon region TV  below ( partly in French/ English  and singing in English) and hear how they like Switzerland!   They will be on stage at 22:00

ART O' BAZ du 26 septembre 2013Désalpe in St Cergue, Jazz at Conservatoire, Fleamarket,Saturday 28th -  Tomorrow  it's the Désalpe in St Cergue, the annual ceremony when herds of decorated cows are brought down from the mountain and paraded through the village. If you are new to the area and haven't been before, it's a "must see" event,  but get there early, the first herd of cows come though the village from 08:30. There will be flag twirling, traditional Swiss music, food and more. Parking can be tricky at this event so it's a good idea to take the little red train from Nyon.  Click here for info

Sunday 29th   

Sunday afternoon concert at 17:00 Jazz at the Conservatoire in Nyon on Sunday with the Marquise de Saxe (see poster below and website here)

Also on Sunday its the Fleamarket in Nyon  along the lake side, hundreds of stalls with a variety of  second hand goods on offer.
