The weather remains warm here in Nyon and if you want to go to one more outdoor music festival, then the Jval festival held in the vineyards above Begnins is in a lovely setting and a great way to round off the summer. On the programme tonight (Friday) is punk Evelinn Trouble from Zurich, (she performed at Paléo this year). Check out the full programme, tickets available from Disques Service in Nyon.
The new Migros Ecole club brochure is out now with a full listing of all the courses that it runs at its further education centre in the centre of town (just below the supermarket and where you can pick up a brochure). There are classes in French, German, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, Russian and other languages. There are also classes held in
such as drawing and painting, art history, and gourmet cooking. There are even various walks offered under the sports section such as a walk to see the sunrise on Mont Blanc and there are classes in information technology too. Check out the site
Over in Prangins at the Swiss National Museum, the exhibition of Swiss photography from the 1930s continues until the 25th October.
