Museums open, Family parade, Christmas tree bonfire, Look out for Lotos!
Happy New Year from Living in Nyon!
The three museums of Nyon the Château of Nyon, the Lake Museum and the Roman Museum will be open on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd January with free entry to the public. Check out the passenger submarine in the lake museum, or the old prison cells at the top of the château!
Family Parade. Family event on the 6th January. It's the "Three Kings"/"Galette des Rois" parade in Nyon. An outdoor event for the family (wrap up well!) The event will take place at 16:30 - departure point at the Place du Molard. Note - this is an updated time and venue. Christmas Tree Bonfire On the 7th January, There will be a bonfire in Prangins from 09:00 -12:30 for villagers to take along their Christmas tree and watch it burn on a bonfire. Vin chaud and soup on offer too!
Look out for the Lotos!
January is a big month for Lotos! (Bingo). They are big fundraising events for local clubs and are a great way to meet new people and practice your French at the same time.
