Film festival over - prize winning films can be seen again Saturday 27th

Visions du Réel has now come to a close and the prize winning films have now been chosen. These films from the main section can be seen again on Saturday 27th April, at the Théâtre de Marens.  From 14:00 until the evening, five films will be screened at the Théâtre de Marens.  CHF 30  for a day card or CHF 10 per film.  14:00  The winner of the Prix La Mobilière for the best short film in the International Competition:  American Dreamer by Thomas Haley  - Julian lives in a small town in northern Florida. After writing a poem, he goes by bus to Ground Zero to commemorate the September 11 attacks together with his fellow citizens. Thomas Haley films this ordinary patriot who seeks to anchor his identity onto a national project in crisis and provides a subtle portrayal of a “poor white boy”.

The winner of the Prix George Foundation for the best short film of the International competition:
