Gland’s New Economy Forum Returns on 29 October
If you run a business, have an idea bubbling away, work locally, or simply like knowing what’s happening in our corner of the world, here’s one for the diary.
And Living in Nyon will be there too!
On 29 October, the City of Gland is bringing together around 300 entrepreneurs, businesses, retailers, experts and local movers and shakers for the 6th edition of the New Economy Forum at the Théâtre de Grand-Champ.

The Expo runs from 15:30–17:30, with local companies and projects showcasing what they’re doing. It’s a great opportunity to discover businesses you didn’t know existed, meet people doing interesting things nearby and generally get a better sense of what’s happening in the local economy.
Come and find us
We’ll have our own booth in the afternoon Expo, so please come and say hello. We’d love to meet some of the people who read Living in Nyon (yes, actual humans behind the clicks!) and hear what you’re working on, what you’re seeing locally, and what we should know about.
The evening programme
Then, from 17:30–19:30, it’s into the theatre for talks around this year’s theme: how can we strengthen local businesses and support our shops?
Speakers include entrepreneur Guillaume “Toto” Morand, retail specialist Cindy Guerreiro and organisational resilience expert Isabelle Cussac, alongside discussions on digital sovereignty and projects coming out of Gland’s New Economy Incubator.
And finally, from 19:30–21:30, the serious business of drinks, chatting and meeting people begins.
One little heads-up for our English-speaking readers: the Forum will be held in French, so you’ll need to be comfortable following the conversations and presentations en français. Consider it networking with a little French immersion thrown in!
The New Economy Forum is free and open to everyone, but registration is required and places are limited. Reserve your spot HERE
