Free entry to Museums this weekend 9/10 Sept in Nyon, Morges and Prangins

Writer: CatherineCatherine

This weekend, Saturday the 9th and Sunday 10th September, it's "Les Journées Européennes du Patrimoine". On these two "European Heritage Days", the three main museums in Nyon: the castle, the Roman Museum, the Lac Léman Museum, one privately owned "domaine", four buildings in Morges and the Museum of Prangins are all offering free entry for members of the public to discover more of Switzerland's heritage. The privately owned building on the outskirts of Nyon which will be open to the public (for this weekend only), is the Domaine de Bois-Bougy.  This building, with its lovely farm and barns attached, can be seen from the train en-route to Geneva and is on many people's running and walking route! Produce from the farm is on sale all year round. Samuel Baumgartner, the owner of the domaine, will give guided tours of the farm on Sunday at 10:30 and 14:30 Full details of all buildings open across Swiss Romande click here
