“Les girons des Jeunesses” are games that are organised each year by young people between the ages of 16 and 25. Four big events of this take place in the canton and this year from the 10th to the 14th August the "giron du pied" will be held in the village of Montricher (north of Aubonne towards the Lac de Joux).
This event in Montricher is a good opportunity to see a local event and a Swiss tradition. There will be hockey matches, football matches, Swiss wrestling (on Sunday 14th). This year, the theme of this giron is the United Kingdom and there will be a
"Buckingham Palace", a "Piccadilly Circus" and a "Tower Bridge" all in the foot of the Jura! On Saturday 13th you can drink a beer while listening the bagpipes or drink a cup of tea in the “salon de thé”.
